Quick Tatkal Case Study

Quick Tatkal is a client browser extension built to automate form input filling for urgent transit ticket bookings, helping travelers secure slots.

The Bottleneck: Urgent transit slots fill up in under 60 seconds. Manual entry of passenger lists and captcha details resulted in lost booking chances.

Target Audits: We mapped the checkout pipeline, determining that autofilling standard fields under 1 second leaves the user only the captcha step to solve manually.

Wireframing & Prototypes: We designed a popup configuration extension menu containing fields for passenger profiles and local storage toggles.

Visual Design: A compact extension popup layout matching our dark navy palette with blue check indicators, keeping input fields tight and clear.

Engineering Logic: Written in pure vanilla JavaScript to maintain a tiny package footprint. Passenger profiles are encrypted using AES-256 and stored locally in the extension's sandbox.

Core Engineering Challenge: Protecting user payment and password details locally on the client browser. Resolved by utilizing local storage sandboxing and encrypting all stored objects.
